Your newborn session will take place in the comfort of your home.
I have highlighted some key points below. If you would like to chat further about how I can tailor-make your session then please get in touch for a no-obligation personal quote.
I will require an area, usually a living room floor space, to allow me to create a newborn specific studio. This is your time to relax. As a parent, I understand that you will be tired and getting used to your new routine, but the shoot will be peaceful and calm.
The studio is a safe, warm and comfortable enough for your newborn baby to curl up and sleep while I gently pose them to capture the most beautiful images.
Newborns grow and change so quickly and therefore capturing this newborn stage really is a precious opportunity, not to be delayed. I, therefore, take great care and pride in producing bespoke pieces of art for you to cherish forever.
I allow two hours to create these images.
I will consult with you before the session so that we create images personal to you. We will discuss your colour scheme and relevant items of sentiment that you may like to include.
All the props that I use are designed with newborn babies in mind to include the softest most beautiful materials and textures. Hats, wraps, and tiebacks including handmade accessories are available for you to choose, to allow me to create that personal perfect image for you.
It is a privilege to work with new parents and their precious newborn, capturing this magical stage which passes so quickly for parents to cherish the true beauty of their newborn in the early days, which can often be recalled as a blur.
My aim is for you to enjoy every moment of the session. You are of course able to watch me photograph your little one and parents absolutely love to see the images created while their little one sleeps.
The best opportunity to capture those early moments and important details of your baby’s first days of life and the idea of newborn photography is to create newborn art between 5 and 16 days new as during this time newborns are still very sleepy and curled up.
However, this is not set in stone, but I would advise you to please contact me after your pregnancy has been confirmed to discuss a personal session to allow me to capture today’s moments for tomorrow’s memories.
The session will last around two hours, allowing time for feeding and changing your baby. During that time, I will attempt a variety of images, this will depend on how well the newborn sleeps during the session and please bear in mind not all newborns will carry out the same poses.
